Pig's Ear is an eclectic family folk music band, based in Edenbridge, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, Kent, England.
We play gigs around the South East of England, in pubs and clubs and bars, at folk festivals and 'folk ales'. We play because we enjoy music and we intend that our audiences do too.
The songs we sing include both 'contemporary' folk and material from the traditions of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland... and anything that takes our fancy. We're not really interested in attempts to pigeon-hole music into artificial 'genres'... we just know what we like. Some of our material has been written by Sue, some by Keith, some by other local writers... but traditional 'roots' music and lyrics has always formed the backbone of folk music since the folk revival was started by Cecil Sharpe (or was it Robbie Burns?) and we're not afraid to perform it.
